Kala Ghoda Art Festival (KGAF), Installation on Child Sexual Abuse titled, ‘Betrayed’ (2016)
In February 2016, THOHF won a runner up award for this Public Art Installation at KGF which was on the theme of ‘Child Sexual Abuse-Beyond Borders’. The installation, conceptualised by Insia Dariwala & Tui Sigman, and executed by Shreehari Bhosle, was successful in triggering a much needed dialogue on a difficult topic like child sexual abuse.
It was also cited by the media as one of the five best art installations to be visited at KGAF.

Photo Campaign: ‘End the Isolation’ - Phase I (2017)
In 2017, our founder launched ‘END THE ISOLATION’ –the first ever photo campaign along with a focused petition on Male Child Sexual Abuse featuring 5 men , creating shockwaves around the country and globally, and leading to an amendment of the victim compensation scheme in the POCSO act, to bring parity to male victims of child sexual abuse.
Impact :
- In just 2 months, more than 1 lakh people engaged online to push the petition forward with the government.
- Triggered a global conversation on Male Child Sexual Abuse.
- Highlighted the need for male survivors to come out with their stories.
- Conduction of a preliminary study on Male Child sexual abuse which led the then Women & Child Development Minister, Ms. Maneka Gandhi to take cognizance of Ms. Insia’s co-relation theory with an invitation to lead an in-depth study on male child sexual abuse in India.
- Amendment of the existing victim compensation scheme in the POCSO laws, making it gender neutral by also extending the scheme to boys who have been abused.
- Formation of a Govt. led core committee for Media & Communications to creatively disseminate information on child sexual abuse.
Photo Campaign: ‘End the Isolation’ - Phase II (2018)
Buoyed by the phenomenal response of the campaign in 2017, THOHF launched Phase-II of its photo-series campaign END THE ISOLATION in 2018 with Bollywood actor Kalki Koechlin as the face of the campaign.
Phase 2 included 16 survivors and was an inclusive campaign with 3 genders participating
from Mumbai and Pune including trans sex workers.
Impact :
The Phase 2 culminated into an on ground Photo Exhibition which brought together Influencers, Child Rights Advocates and decision makers who resolved to bring more awareness on the prevention of Child Sexual Abuse.
Lockdown On CSA (2020)
#LockdownOnCSA , a social media messaging campaign, had six powerful influencers from the Indian film industry lend their support to ignite citizen responsibility on the menace of Child Sexual Abuse and to encourage reporting of this offence. Spread over seven weeks, THOHF released celebrity videos on social media with their pledges to be soldiers in the fight against Child Sexual Abuse. The campaign was accompanied by an online survey on this issue welcoming participants to become part of the solution by providing implementable suggestions.
It was also cited by the media as one of the five best art installations to be visited at KGAF.

The Hope Run (2021)
THOHF organized the first ever pan-India Virtual Run dedicated to the fight against Child Abuse from 28th Feb’2021 to 7th March’2021
The event was to promote the fight against Child Abuse in all its forms – physical, sexual, child labor, trafficking and also for child welfare related causes that help to bring down incidence of Child Abuse.
It was also cited by the media as one of the five best art installations to be visited at KGAF.
Impact :
- Around a 1000 people signed-up for THE HOPE RUN from all across India.
- 35 NGOs working in the domain of Child Abuse and Child Welfare were brought together on a common virtual platform to raise visibility for the cause and for their own work and to raise funds for themselves.
- More than 60 influential runners lent their support by being Ambassadors to the event by promoting the event on their social media pages
